The Dreidor Republic is still impacted by the 33 year long civil war that happened two hundred years ago, the Dreidor Republic is a phantom of its former self. Still united under an elected senate, the Dreidor Republic has fought to overcome its classist history to elect commoners and innovators to help lead the Dreidor Republic.

Reprioritizing on the sciences, the Dreidor Republic has begun slow but steady progress toward becoming a major power once again. Regardless of the forward momentum, beneath the surface there are displeased families who cling to the past when the Dreidor Republic was ruled by the wealthy and powerful. Those with feelings of entitlement of not only ruling Dreidor, but also of the entire continent of Aitekin and war with their neighbor, Ebrya.

As the founder of the Calendar (established 0 A.D.) and original power of all Zealea, there are few that do not know the name of the Dreidor Republic.

Under the rulership of the Ayala family who came to power near the end of the Dreidorian War more than 250 years prior, current Queen Josephine Ayala ruled a strong nation. Foreign ties with the Cresian Territories are strained as they compete with Ebryan monotheism and cultural expansion outside of Ebrya.

Internally, the Knights of Kheldir have turned from their historically honored background of Kheldir to become more politically motivated and corrupt within. The standing Knight General, Ser Khalid Rowe struggles against an ambitious and religious zealot Ser Isaiah Larsen who is the acting Knight Justicar and friend to Kheldirian Pope Ibraheem Gilbert.

Good or bad, the name of Ebrya is known to most on Zealea and few can doubt that they are the current world power.

With the war with the Dreidor Republic long behind them, their then allies, the Kingdom of Ebrya became more and more insistent on spreading Kheldirism, to which the Devout of the Twins were in little favor. The Cresian severed relations with the Kingdom of Ebrya as the years went by, relying on their own nomadic and harsh lifestyle without the politics of the Dreidor Republic and The Kingdom of Ebrya.

The Cresian people settle in the northern part of Cresia where they elect leaders to facilitate the much needed harvests and gather to supply them for the harsh winters. During the winters, the Cresian people migrate across the vast central deserts to the southern oasis where they live in large camps of tents and caravans.

The Cresian Territories maintain a strong relationship with the Siraye Islands and have sent aid to Jasmera to help the free folk therein to maintain their independence from Dreidor or Ebrya.

The lush tropical Siraye Islands are scattered across an especially calm spread of the sea. Though avoiding involvement in war, the Siraye Islands have grown suspicious since the illegal capture of its inhabitants to help the Dreidor Republic settle Jasmera. The only exception to this rule would be the Cresian Territories who the Siraye Islands still view as allies.

The many islands are home to multiple villages and tribes, with their own leaders and cultures. Most common among them are the shared stories and worship of their ancestors which are as unique as the tribes themselves. Every three years, the Islands experience a solar eclipse where tribes compete in tests of wit, creation, and strength to name the Chieftan.

Jasmera has lived, even thrived, out of purview of the other countries since near its beginning. In the last couple hundred of years, the Jasmeran colonists have come together to write out a Constitution that provides all colonizers individual rights and protections of unified law without the constraints of historic power struggles.

Many of the living Jasmerans are descendants of the original prisoners of the Dreidorians during the war, making Jasmera one of the most diverse communities of mixed nationality and religious backgrounds, though The Twins and Kheldirism are the most often observed.

In the last decade, Veronica Cutter has been recognized and elected by the Jasmerans as their leader. Her family having gained wealth with their lumber yards and carpentry skill, Veronica has grown to be a strong and respected leader known for fairness and ingenuity.

Dunsparrow Island’s history is brief, but crowded with conflict and turmoil. After Jarl Iskar’s story spread the news of potential riches, travelers and adventurers from all walks of life and origin rushed to Dunsparrow’s many islands. Ebryans and Dreidorians, both fatigued by war, tolerated each other’s presence on the Islands, while Cresian and Siraye Islanders made scattered villages and camps.

Originally it was The Disciples of Betong that had grown to the most influence, though after the execution of King Leon, it was the Salvatore family who rose to power. Azarion Salvatore had uncovered the Jarl’s treasure, finding relics of ages past and wealth that Iskar had stowed away on Dunsparrow Islands. The family, originating from the Cresian Territories, hoarded the wealth and were quick to use the coin to obtain ships and mercenary troops to establish a strong seat of power.

With none other able to compete with the resources and strength of the Salvatore family, Azarion Salvatore levied control of Dunsparrow Islands under an Oligarchy which placed his family and his allies as leaders over the remaining citizens.
